Kristina Koromzay performed regularly for discerning student-faculty
audiences while she attended conservatory for classical
piano during her teenage years. Later on, in her twenties,
she got into alternative rock music and played with several
local bands, including an afro pop/reggae band.
She has been musical director for three collaborations
between the French and Theater departments at CU Boulder,
as well as being a piano accompanyist for local choirs
and theater companies.
Kristina also was a regular solo performer of her original
music at Vic's Coffee Shop and the legendary Penny Lane
She has led singing circles with local raga teacher and
devotional musician, Chaitanya Kabir.
She also performs regularly at weddings and corporate

School of Music in London, and the Bela Bartok Conservatory
in Budapest. She studied piano performance with Julliard
trained Doris Lehnert for two years at CU Boulder. Since
then, she has increased the scope of her muscial knowledge
by taking lessons with Art Lande, local world famous jazz
musician, and Chaitanya Kabir, a renowned teacher, performer
and musicologist specializing in the ragas and devotional
music of North India. She is also qualified as a vocal
coach in the Vocal Wav Method, developed by Shanti Devi
Kristina has been teaching piano and songwriting skills for over
Her teaching philosophy is to make playing and learning music fun, and relevant to the student's musical tastes. She uses the avenues of learning by ear, learning to read music, basic music theory, and creativity and improvisation to address all aspects of music.
