Kidz -n- Music classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. By emphasizing actual music experiences rather than concepts about music, Kidz -n- Music introduces children to the pleasures of making music instead of passively receiving it from CDs or TV.

Kidz -n- Music classes are 45 minutes long one day each week for kids ages 2-6 and are taught by Kristina Koromzay. The classes include an artistically conceived flow of songs, nursery rhymes, games, instrumental jam sessions, fingerplays, and various movement activities. The combination and types of activities are research-based and support children’s developing competence in tonality and rhythm. In addition, activities evolve from the child’s world and include vocal play, animal sounds, rhythm play, language play, and a good bit of genuine, silly fun.

Kidz -n- Music will:

* Develop and strengthen artistic and musical skills for your child.
* Develop both independence and communication between you and your child and    other children.
* Develop and strengthen cognitive skills and spatial awareness.
* Encourage characteristics related to successful learning such as self-confidence,    self expression, curiosity and social skills.
